THE QUESTION

IS GOD REAL?

It’s a fair question.

THE SHORT ANSWER

You don’t have to pretend you’re convinced. Start with the evidence.

The universe had a beginning. Life contains extraordinary complexity. We recognize real differences between right and wrong. And then there’s Jesus a historical person whose life, claims, death, and reported resurrection changed the world.

None of these alone forces belief in God. But together, they give us good reason to ask:

What if God really is there?

THE SHORT ANSWER

Everything we experience in the universe has an explanation for why it exists. But when we trace things backward, we eventually arrive at a much bigger question:

WHY DOES ANYTHING EXIST AT ALL?

The universe contains space, time, matter, energy, and the laws that govern them. If the universe had a beginning, then the explanation for its existence cannot simply be another physical thing inside the universe.

Christians believe the best explanation is a reality beyond space, time, and matter—something that does not need to be created because it exists necessarily. We call that reality God.

That doesn’t prove Christianity by itself. But it changes the question from “Who created God?” to “What kind of reality could exist without needing to be created?” And that’s where the conversation gets interesting.

WHY DO GOOD PEOPLE SUFFER?

What if suffering isn't always punishment?

THE SHORT ANSWER

Life isn’t just a collection of chemicals. Inside nearly every living cell is DNA—a molecular system containing instructions used to build, maintain, and reproduce life. Science has become incredibly good at explaining how those instructions are copied, changed, and passed from one generation to the next. But go back far enough and we reach another question:

KEEP EXPLORING

WHERE DID THE FIRST INFORMATION COME FROM?

Before evolution by natural selection can operate, there must be something capable of reproducing with heritable variation. So how did non-living chemistry first cross the threshold into life?

Scientists are actively investigating this question, but we don’t yet have a complete explanation for how life first arose from non-living matter.

That doesn’t mean “Science doesn’t know, therefore God.” Instead, it gives us something deeper to consider: if our universe can produce life, information, consciousness, and minds capable of understanding the universe itself… could there be a Mind behind it?

How did chemistry become something capable of reproducing, evolving, and eventually becoming alive?

WHAT IF DNA IS MORE THAN CHEMISTRY?

The human genome contains roughly 3 billion DNA base pairs. What does that information actually do?

COULD DNA POINT TO A DESIGNER?

Inside nearly every cell in your body is DNA containing roughly 3 billion base pairs.

Different sequences have biological functions—including coding for proteins and helping regulate how cells operate.

THINK ABOUT THAT.

A microscopic cell contains an extraordinarily sophisticated system for storing, copying, reading, and using genetic information. We know a great deal about how DNA works.

But the origin of life’s earliest information-bearing and self-replicating systems raises another question:

WHERE DID THE INFORMATION COME FROM?

Christians such as Ken Ham argue that information ultimately points toward intelligence rather than an unguided origin. Others disagree and believe life’s information can ultimately be explained through natural chemical and evolutionary processes.

So don’t just take our word for it. Look at the evidence and ask the question yourself:

DOES THE INFORMATION IN LIFE POINT TO A MIND?

WHAT IF LIFE CAME FROM NON-LIFE?

EXPLORE

Every living thing we know comes from other life. So what happened when there was no life at all?

THE SHORT ANSWER

At some point in Earth’s early history, there were no plants, animals, cells, or people—only non-living matter. Yet today, life is everywhere.

Scientists call the study of how life could have arisen from non-living chemistry abiogenesis. Researchers have discovered that some of life’s chemical building blocks can form naturally under certain conditions. But building blocks aren’t the same thing as a living system.

WHAT IF THE REAL MYSTERY IS THE FIRST LIFE?

The earliest life needed more than the right chemicals. It needed systems capable of storing information, using energy, maintaining organization, and reproducing with enough accuracy for evolution to continue.

NON-LIVING CHEMISTRY → SELF-REPLICATION → LIFE

Exactly how that transition occurred remains an active area of scientific research.

WHAT IF SCIENCE EVENTUALLY EXPLAINS IT?

Would that mean God isn’t necessary? Not necessarily. Explaining how something happens doesn’t automatically answer why the universe has the laws, matter, and conditions that allow it to happen at all. Christians believe God can be the reason life exists even if science discovers more about the processes through which the first life arose.

WHAT IF LIFE WAS POSSIBLE BECAUSE IT WAS MEANT TO BE?

And if life isn’t ultimately an accident… what if you aren’t one either?

CAN SUFFERING HAVE PURPOSE?

Could God bring something good out of something painful?

THE SHORT ANSWER

Most of us know some things are wrong even when they are popular, legal, or useful. Cruelty is not merely something we dislike. Justice is not just a vote. Christians believe those instincts point to a moral reality beyond personal opinion—a good God who made people with real dignity and responsibility.

WHERE IS GOD WHEN WE SUFFER?

What if God didn't stay distant but stepped into our suffering through Jesus?

THE SHORT ANSWER

Jesus is not only a topic in a debate about God. He is a person in history who taught with unusual authority, welcomed outsiders, was publicly executed, and whose earliest followers said they saw alive again. His central claim was not simply that God exists, but that God has come near.
